Love the person not the potential. - The Divatologist

Yes, agreed.

Accept the person as they are and not who they could become.

Totally. Makes sense.

But after you learn who a person is and how they are, it's also perfectly acceptable and reasonable to acknowledge you deserve better.

Then walk away.

    And after you have accepted them for who they, if who they are is a dickhead, then, yeah, walk away. Not everyone is a nice person even after you get to know them.
