If a phone rings and nobody's home to answer it, does it still ring?

I get up really early in the mornings during the week - by 4 a.m. most days unless I sleep to the alarm and then it's 4:20. As a general rule, I don't typically carry my phone around with me during this time because really, who the hell else is crazy enough to be up at that hour?

I'll tell you who. Someone who is 18 hours ahead of me. Someone who is finishing the day I'm just beginning.

And that someone is Nykki who now resides in New Zealand. Ha! Sounds kind of like a porn movie...Nykki Does New Zealand...which is, if you know Nykki at all, kind of hysterical in a hasher1 sort of way.

Anyway, the point is that I didn't have my phone on me while drying my hair this morning and I missed a rare call from my Nykki-Girl. Which, this morning particularly, made me sad. But! She left me this incredible voice mail message telling me how much she loved me and how she missed me so much it hurt. I cried listening to it. I also saved it. And I just have one thing to say...

Ditto, Girl.
