Welcome to the Weinerschnitzel, Can I Take Your Order Please?

Recently, I was asked the "3 Wishes" question. You know the one..."if you had 3 wishes, what would they be?".

My #1 wish was for the good health and happiness of the people I love.

Later, this got me to thinking. While I may not be able to have my wish granted via supernatural "genie" means, I can do some things to contribute to its realization.

I mean, I can't force anyone to take care of themselves and their health. I can't stop the progression of time nor heal the physically sick. What I can do though - and I like to think I already do in small ways - is contribute to the happiness of the people in my life.

So then I asked myself...can I do more? Is there more that I can offer my special peeps besides just making them laugh, offering baked goods, or buying them drinks that would keep them on a path to happiness - a path toward the realization of a dream?

I decided yes, yes I can. So I came up with some questions I would ask them (you).

1) What is your dream?

By this, I mean:
2) If you could do anything, what would it be?

3) What excites you, moves you, makes you think, ignites your passion?

4) Why aren't you doing it now?

5) What would it take to realize your dream?

6) What can I do to help you realize it?

I would seriously like to know. It's a lot of work to realize our dreams. It takes determination and an unwillingness to accept our own complacency and fear. But isn't that effort worth it if we're stuck in a job we hate or a less passionate life than we would have hoped? We've only got one shot. How can I help you make it count?

And just in case you were wondering what you can do to help me realize my dream...you're doing it right now.

You're reading my writing. You're offering your comments, criticism, and encouragement. You're beginning to expect me to write. That is enough.

Thank you.

You're so sweet, Jane! I have so many goals right now - it would take a full time effort to help me! However, if you happen across any amazing job openings in Denver, that would be one gargantuan step in the right direction! ;)
