I'm Very Glamorous and Exciting

I am on vacation.

I've been on vacation since Tuesday afternoon 3 p.m.

Here are the highlights of my vacation thus far:

Tuesday - I napped. For 2 glorious hours.

Wednesday 1 p.m. - I went over to Spux's and we drank coffee and then went shopping for "supplies".
Wednesday 4 p.m. - I turned off my phone and banned myself from the internet and wrote for 6 solid hours.
Wednesday 5 p.m. - Snow began to fall.

Today 9:30 a.m. - I tried to brave a foot of snow to go get my hair cut. Subsequently, I posted this on Google+: "Knee deep at my house. Knee deep in snow, that is (and likely a little BS too but that's normal). Just tried, like a fool, to drive somewhere. Got all that glorious snow cleaned off my car, interior toasty warm, and then couldn't get out of my foresaken Cap Hill parking spot since the plow came through and blocked me in. Sweet. Hot cocoa, I'm at your mercy."

Smart cars aren't very smart in the snow...no, it's not mine

Today 1:30 p.m. - Nap. 3 hours.

Today 5:30 p.m. - Played Interrogation with Vinny: Private Eye

Vinny: Private Dick

Today now-ish - I concocted the following semi-grownupish beverage:
  • 2 scoops double mocha instant cappuccino mix
  • 1 scoop french vanilla instant cappuccino mix
  • 1 scoop hot chocolate
  • 1 shot Van Gogh's Double Espresso Vodka
  • 20 oz. Sonata Roast Coda Coffee
Stir and Enjoy.

I'll either be up until 4 a.m. or passed out by 7 p.m.

I'll keep you updated.

Yay vacation!

It sounds really delightful. And the snow, oh the snow! We get mostly grey and rain here. (Though today it was beautifully clear and crisp.) I have the crud and still trying to be the Energizer Bunny. I could feel myself just getting more and more relaxed as I read on. Thank you! And enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Holy caffeine, batman. I felt kinda twitchy just reading that recipe.

Wow...I'll expect to see several more posts tonight then? What a glorious vacation...naps that last longer than 5 min? More than once a month? Oh my. If you want to try something exotic next vacation, come visit me. You play with adorable young children, I'll nap. Deal?

Nobody ever takes my deals.

I loved this post. I am so with you on the naps. Some people travel thousands of miles, board crowded cruise ships, brave airport security and customs... just so they can nap. Aren't we clever to save time and money by napping at home?
The snow looks beautiful. Ahh.

P.S. I have to go to the liquor store tomorrow. I had no idea there was an espresso vodka. (They don't let me out often.)

A nap is a part of any well-planned day. That's my credo, and someday, I'll live it full time.

That sounds like the best vacation ever!

I so love my winter of vacation and doing a lot of nothing. But if I drank that much coffee I'd be awake until summer.

Nice. Relaxing and hot cocoa. I wish our neck of the woods was given the gift of snow. Lovely. Enjoy your moments, Jane. Happy holidays.

Your vacation mirrors mine - except that I didn't know that coffee vodka existed.
I will have to remedy my lack thereof. :)

I hope you so enjoy your vacation, Jane. You've earned it!

And I'll take one of those drink concoctions you made there. It sounds really delish!

Thank you for sharing part of your vacation with us. :)

Shiftless: I hope you get to feeling better soon!

MM: I couldn't finish it all *laughing*.

cdnkaro: Actually...visiting Canada, listening to the funny things your children say, is a pretty sweet deal. I'd probably take you up on that :).

Melanie: Van Gogh's Double Espresso vodka is so smooth you can drink it on the rocks, no mixer. I know. I've done it lol.

Beth: Naps are a built in part of nearly every day. They are a must have in my world.

Periphery: It's pretty awesome, I must admit.

Gaelyn: Naw. Only until 3 a.m. ;)

Bon: You will not be disappointed. It is excellent stuff!

Virginia: Thank you! I am enjoying myself thoroughly.

Melanie: Every time Vinny gets behind my laptop screen and looks at me that way, I have to giggle. But yesterday he was so Guy Noir, I couldn't stand his cuteness!

Vinny looks he's about to work you over. I have been laughing every time I see the pic. I actually left the post open and I scroll it every once in a while so his face appears very slowly. Give him a special hug from Frances in New York.
