Our World-Cyber Masquerade Ball Invitation

Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?

If so, cancel them (but not really).

If you don't have plans, you do now! At least, virtually anyway.

Remember how, a few weeks ago, I was feeling Veruca Salty and demanding a glorious, over-the-top party full of big hats, ball gowns, and orangutans?

Well...our friend, Gaelyn at Geogypsy ran with the idea and has created an opportunity for us all to throw ourselves a World-Cyber Masquerade Ball for New Year's Eve 2011!

And you, yes YOU, are invited!

Here's your invitation:

Here are your instructions taken straight from Gaelyn herself:

So my idea includes any blogger who would like to attend linking their story of being at the Cyber Masquerade Ball complete with an image of your costume (not necessarily you). You could elaborate on the ballroom, musicians, decorations, food, liquor, champagne fountain, flowers, games and/or topics of conversation. Let your party imagination soar.

Then I’ll set up a link on my blog starting Friday December 30th at noon Mountain time. I hope you’ll use your costume image on the link.

Come join in the fun and spread the word by adding the image below to your blog.

EDITED TO ADD: the link to Geogypsy's blog post about the ball.
I apologize for such late notice. I haven't been on time for literally anything over the course of the last 10 days. Please think about joining us though, will you?

What a grand affair this shall be!

Whatever shall I wear?!

What a grand idea! Sounds like I can attend and still be in bed by midnight! Yay!

I am not sure what happened, but I just tried leaving a comment and it came back and said error! I've never experienced this before. I need to check and see if you got this one. Sorry!

I am back Jane! I just wanted to say that I've never been to a ball, but have dreamed about one. I'd wear a dress and wig and mask from the 1700's, because I'd be a real lady of high society. And of course I'd drink all the champagne given to me.

Happy New Year!

Melanie - I should hope so! Your virtual self may stay up as late as she likes however.

Virginia - I'll hope you'll consider participating in the ball of your fantasies then!

Gaelyn - I agreed!
