A Minnesota Shout Out, Eh

NaBloPoMo is coming to an end.

Tomorrow, in fact, is the last day any of you still hanging in there by the skin of your teeth will have to post something in order to receive promised baked goods.

I think that's approximately 2 of you - although Acr0nym gets them anyway even though he's missed at least 4 days because he's very very good to me in ways baked goods can't even begin to repay.

Anyway!

So, because I wanted to try to support fellow NaBloPoMo'ers and because I love stumbling across other bloggers I like, I've been trying to visit the actual NaBloPoMo site as often as I can and reading through what others are saying.

Unfortunately, frankly, the content - while I'm sure has been well intentioned - for the most part, has not held my attention in the slightest.

However!

I've discovered a little gem.

Michael's Fish Bowl is great!

Anyone who can make me laugh out loud while A) talking about breakfast cereal or B) referring to Sarah Palin in any capacity, has got to be good. And he's done it.

Plus, he totally commented on my blog with a reference to The Suburbs - an 80's new wave band - yesterday and that, Folks, is the ultimate way to my heart...besides cheese and wine that is.

So, if you want to hear what's on the mind of a guy from Minnesota, give him a read. He's an easy read - sometimes political, sometimes philosophical, sometimes breakfast cereal and nearly always funny or poignant.

I'm starting to think, what with the whole Jesse Ventura, Al Franken, Prairie Home Companion, The Current, and Michael's Fish Bowl thing going on, Minnesota isn't such a bad place to be. Except, you know, for the whole snow in winter and bugs in summer thing.

Jane, your infinite wisdom is truly... infinite! You made me feel like a celebrity and you made the entire month of November worth it! Do you listen to The Current? It's a great station. (And we also have Prince and Bob Dylan (although Dylan is iffy so maybe I shouldn't mention him)).

Yay! I'm glad to contribute to feeling good and encouraging you to write. I do listen to The Current. It's not only public radio but just plain good radio.
